Changes Are Afoot

Hello faithful readers!

I haven't updated this blog for a bit, but I have news to report. I have changed jobs yet again. I think since September 2005, I have had 3 different work places to commute to...now I will be adding another.

I took a job in downtown Boston and I am taking the commuter rail in from N. Billerica.

The past week and a half have been ok so far. There was a late/slow train last Wednesday...but for the most part it has been problem free.

It has taken me a bit to get used to it. I don't like spending around 300 bucks a month just to get to work, but that is the reality.

So in 2010, we'll get it going for real. I need to make some changes to the post template, and after that you'll start seeing posts about my adventures on public transportation.

Ever onward!

Hiya. Let's list the haps today.

I walked out of my house and saw the bus fly by my stop at 6:55. What the hell? Bus, you are always late or at the very least on time. You are never early. What gives?

Once I was on the bus, some guy at the next stop got on and paid his fare. After he got his Charlie Ticket back, he lifted it above his head and told everyone, "That's the last time I will use this thing." Not sure if he was getting a Charlie Card or excited he was never going to have to ride the bus again.

On the Orange Line, there was a pretty intoxicated guy talking to everyone. Thankfully, he got off at Sullivan Square.

Here's to 2008.

I tried to get my duration down under 30 minutes today...but my attempt was foiled by some strange traffic pile up at Kenmore Square. It was strange because it cleared up as fast as it appeared....it may have been due to some bad merge.

Funny stuff from the user stats: I have received a few visitors from search engines on the query of "Let Earth Receive Her King". How 'bout choo?

I am currently working on the Shady Gas Price chart with all-time data. Although it isn't finished, there is a pretty clear trend.

Wellup, 2006 had its ups and downs for me.

I predict 2007 will be a better year. Be well.
