It was probably on because they thought the heating system was now on. Oh wait, maybe it's because the O line is OLD and the cars need to desperately be replaced. With all the money the jack us, can't they do some upgrades like they did to the green line and buses?
I actually think I got the same car on my ride home last night around 4:30. After waiting for a good 15-20 minutes for a train the one I got on was freezing the whole way to Malden.
