Economic Meltdown Blues

So, I have been thinking about this blog and its theme. The first part is driving. The second part is work. Since Sept. 2005, the work part hasn't taken a break. I am lucky. I raise a glass to those who are out of work for whatever reason.

Stay positive. We'll get through it. This too shall pass.

P.S. I saw a dead cat on the side of the road this morning.

Dead of Winter

I saw the forecast on TV this morning before I left the house. The 5 day said it would be mostly cloudy...every day.

Luckily it hasn't been cold lately, that's one thing to be positive about...but I think I am starting to feel the winter blues. Maybe a little seasonal affective disorder? Or maybe I am still dealing with the Patriots' loss...

I'm getting there. It's only football. It's only football.

It would be nice to see some sun.

I finally did it today. I have been holding back for days now. It was controllable; I was able to contain it. Today was different...and it happened.

I sneezed on the subway.

Whatever pollen was in the air this morning finally caused me to sneeze. I have felt a tickle in my nose all this week, but combated it successfully through squeezing my face into different positions (people probably thought I had a facial tic) and pinching the bridge of my nose.

Right around the State St. stop, I let 'er rip. I covered my face with my hands and let out a mighty "ah-choo!".

Can a guy get a "Bless you" around here? The answer is "No, not on the Orange Line".

Have a good weekend. I will type to you Tuesday.

I have my satellite radio receiver programmed to alert me when certain songs are broadcasted over any of the channels, although I think this particular one is only played on the Blues station: "Stay All Night" by Junior Kimbrough.

If you ain't rocking the Kimbrough, then you ain't rocking.

Off tomorrow...Type at you Monday.
